Brand film for Affluence Management, a Tokyo-based, partner-owned boutique for internationally minded individuals and entrepreneurs. Built around fundamental analysis, capital preservation, and a strict fiduciary investment-adviser model — delivered as an authoritative, institutional narrative for web and prospect outreach. Written, produced, directed, and edited by Chris Villarin.
The brief
Affluence Management is a Tokyo-headquartered, partner-owned boutique serving internationally minded individuals and entrepreneurs. The challenge is structural: the firm operates as a strict fiduciary investment-adviser, which is a category most prospects don't initially understand. The brand film needed to convey institutional credibility while explaining the partner-owned, non-product-driven model — without descending into legal-disclosure language.
The crossroads of Asian and Western markets.
From the film
The treatment
The film opens on dawn over the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the surrounding glass-and-steel financial towers, then moves to high-contrast interior shots of conservative analysis. The voiceover is authoritative and precise, deliberately formal. Capital preservation, fundamental analysis, fiduciary obligation — each idea sits inside its own beat, given enough time to register.
The use
Affluence positions the film at the front of its web presence and inside its prospect-meeting sequence. It reads to the audience the firm targets — sophisticated investors who recognize structural rigor and respond to it.
