Brand film for Meta Partners, a Tokyo-headquartered firm with 40+ years pairing boutique attention with global-leader reach. Built around tailored strategies for private clients, family offices, and non-profits, anchored by “Building portfolios for what matters most” — delivered as a calm, confident narrative for web and prospect outreach. Written, produced, directed, and edited by Chris Villarin.
The challenge
Meta Partners has been operating since 1983 — a 40+ year track record that's both an asset and a liability in branding terms. The asset is institutional credibility. The liability is the risk of looking dated. The brief was to communicate longevity without nostalgia, and reach a younger generation of family offices and private clients without abandoning the existing client base.
Your success is our success.
From the film
The film
We threaded that needle by anchoring the film in a specific philosophical claim — vision, intelligence, and experience, sharpened by four decades — and pairing it with contemporary visual language. The voiceover is confident and warm; the pacing is patient. The film communicates that this is a firm that has thought a long time, not a firm whose thinking is from a long time ago.
The audience
Meta Partners uses the film at the front of its web presence and in onboarding sequences for new private clients, family offices, endowments, and foundations. The 2:24 runtime is the right length to establish posture before deeper materials take over.
